Milan Kumar Sardar Tharu

Milan a Teach For Nepal Alumnus, ambassador at HundrED.org, Teach For All Global Girls Education Alumnus, European Forum Alpbach scholar, and public service scholar at King’s College, Nepal. He believed that quality education, innovation, and entrepreneurship can help communities transform. He is an aspiring social entrepreneur and has co-founded various startups with the vision of community empowerment and capacity building. He is the co-founder and CEO at the Himalayan Development Initiative that works for the educational upliftment and community development for the people of Upper Dolpa. Besides these, he supports various charities and schools as a consultant.

Pramit Lama

Pramit is an experienced web developer and software debugger. Founder of Kyrios, an IT Company he is currently engaged in as Chief Executive Officer. Being driven to make impacts on society he wishes to utilize his skills to give back to the community in possible ways he can. He started his contribution with Glitters, a project to improve digital literacy in Nepal. Previously engaged in various multinational Companies, he has gained good knowledge as an analyst. Even as an entrepreneur, he has helped many startups and has been aiding them to step up in the world of technology.

Medha Shrestha

Medha is a BBA graduate with a marketing major, currently pursuing her MBA in Nonprofit Management at Kings College. Her altruistic personality and her conviction towards “Work for a cause, not for applause” elevated her interest in social businesses. She completed her undergraduate studies from Kathmandu College of Management and has more than a year-long experience in handling PR and Social media marketing at a Corporate training company.

Sanjay Bahadur Singh

Sanjay is a Biomedical Engineer and currently associated with National Innovation Center aspiring to engineer medical devices here in Nepal. He is committed to provide quality education in remote areas through digital learning tools and promote social entrepreneurship for sustainability. With the coordination of community people and representatives, he has co-founded a nonprofit Himalayan Development Initiative that works for the educational upliftment and community development for the people of Upper Dolpa. He is the Program Director for the organization and he has a vision of providing quality education to the children optimizing the low resource settings.

Puja Khanal

Puja, who is currently pursuing an MBA in Nonprofit Management at King’s College, completed her BBA from KUSOM. While working as a Fellow at Teach for Nepal (TFN) she gained solid understanding and valuable insights into the prevailing systemic injustice in Nepal. Since then her inclination towards the social sector intensified having experienced and observed systemic injustice closely. She believes that social change is all of us being aware of social injustices and biases prevalent in the society and realizing that it takes our collective effort and change in our mindset to transform cultural and social behavior and eradicate the root cause of social problems.

Ujjwal Shrestha

Ujjwal, a former professional bike stunt rider, Teach for Nepal Alum, public service scholar at King’s College and a serial entrepreneur, is the co-founder of multiple social ventures – Art Pasa:, Kala Kusha, Taja Agro Farms and Vedicares. As per him, β€œTo bring the systematic change, one has to be in the system.” He is trying for the same. Ujjwal, who is an ardent believer of systemic change, has directed all of his start-ups towards the empowerment, promotion and development of the community to ensure sustainable development and social justice. He strongly believes that collaboration, coordination, communication, cooperation and interaction with the young minds can bring the revolution.
